Our Philosophy

Caudex Pro is a privately owned company built on a double bottom line: we make powerful tools for authors, and we use our profits to support literacy and the arts. Three commitments guide every decision we make.

1. Every Transaction Benefits Everyone

We believe that every business relationship should leave all parties better off. That principle guides how we plan to allocate revenue if paid service launches:

  • Literacy & The Arts (5%): A share of all revenue goes directly to organizations that create the next generation of readers and writers.
  • Ambassador Program (5%): The people who grow our community are compensated for the value they bring.
  • Operational Costs (~40%): The high-performance AI that powers George requires significant infrastructure. We pay for it honestly.
  • Sustainable Ownership: What remains works out to roughly one hour of minimum wage pay per subscriber per month. Our focus is on the mission, not the margin.

The planned Author Plan is designed around a $30 monthly price and the revenue allocation above. Billing and paid subscriptions are not active. The plan is a design goal and may change before launch.

2. Your Work Comes First

Caudex Pro exists to protect and empower human authorship — not to replace it.

George, our AI writing partner, is architecturally incapable of writing directly to your manuscript. That isn’t a policy. It’s a property of the system, formally verified. Every suggestion George makes appears as a Work Order that you must explicitly accept or reject. Your voice remains your voice.

Billing and paid subscriptions are not active. If paid plans launch, our design goal is to downgrade a writer’s AI tier when their balance runs low rather than lock them out. That behavior may change before launch. The work always comes first.

3. The ARC Initiative

For our first year, 100% of our charitable commitment goes to the Appalachian Reading Center in South Charleston, West Virginia.

The ARC provides reading instruction to students with dyslexia and other learning differences. They say they never turn a student away for inability to pay. Our founder’s children are proof of that promise and living testaments to what the ARC’s dedication makes possible.

This isn’t a corporate partnership. It’s personal. And it’s just the beginning.

Before the year ends, we’ll work with the ARC’s board to understand how we can be most helpful going forward. In the meantime, even if you never subscribe to Caudex Pro, we encourage you to visit their donation page and send what you can. Good causes deserve support whether or not it benefits us.

Caudex Pro is headquartered in Cincinnati, Ohio. We are actively collaborating with researchers to develop and validate the behavioral science behind HAVE (Human Authorship: Verified Effort). HAVE is planned and in development; it is not yet a certification program. If you are a researcher or publisher interested in human authorship research, we’d like to hear from you.
